I had to look up “eraser mouse” to see what it was. That sounds like a bad idea to me in that it may be difficult to operate without also activating the keys near it. That said, theres’ another aspect of mouse operation that I think is germane to the discussion, i.e., a wired mouse versus a battery-powered remote mouse. I used a remote mouse for a while and didn’t like it. It seemed to need batteries too often and also less reliable. Wired on the other hand is solid, reliable and low maintenance. For what it worth.
