Every once in a while, you have one of those days that reminds you why you got into teaching – it couldn’t have come at a better time. This is the last week of quarter – my terrible scheduling has resulting in a test for each class (and grades must be submitted by Friday). Needless to say, a bit stressful.
Today, I hopped out for a bathroom break and gave my students my usual warning: “I’ll be back in two minutes. Do *not* go all ‘Lord of the Flies’ while I’m gone.” Upon my return, they had a staged production of a scene from Lord of the Flies ready to go! One of them even had the forethought to record my reaction (I wish I could post, but that would require 18 signed releases).
It to totally made my day. My students rock.

I LOVE YOU LOCKMONSTER!!
🙂
Ur awesome lockmonster that was fun
Cool. I wish I had had you as a teacher all those year ago!
Really, I’m privileged to teach these kiddos. I had a stressful couple of weeks and this was exactly what I needed to remind me of why I do what I do. They’re just great.
I love us too J-Lo
