    When I saw that infographic, I had exactly the opposite impression! I thought how far it is from the dreams and fantasies for technology that many of us had not so long ago. Rather than a future that empowers people—putting meaningful human work and welfare at the center—the graphic suggests the bleak prospect of filling the skies with drones and “putting [more] industries out of business.”

    Once again technological change is seen as inevitable and without politics and the only responsibility on the part of its “inventors” is to create a “Kahn Academy of vocational skills” and create opportunities for “philanthropists” to give more. It looks like mass underemployment for a good chunk of the world population while global climate change continues unabated. At least we can get Dominoes Pizza drone delivered while we watch show!
