I just sent off my application in an attempt to join the Apple Distinguished Educators Program. They only select 75 educators from the United States, so the competition is intense. The application process alone made me stretch myself creatively. Keep your fingers crossed for me and be prepared with comforting words in a few months (again, thousands of applicants and only 75 positions). I’m publishing the video portion of my application here. Looking at my competition on YouTube… well, let’s just say I’m wowed by my colleagues in education. Wowed!
Know that you have an entire community of friends, colleagues, and students that are supporting you in this endeavor.
Thanks Michael. The competition is just soooo steep. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Call in any favors or blackmail threats that you have at Apple
Good luck! I submitted my application for the ‘Europe, India, UAE’ area yesterday. I know what you mean about stretching yourself creatively (I had a massive iMovie learning curve!).
Good luck to you too!!
I thought your post was such a good idea, so I posted my video on my blog as well. Thanks for the inspiration.
Can’t wait to check it out!!
Best wishes. I appreciate to that your long-term commitment to this work, going back to your blogs of several years ago.
Thanks Robert!
