Pre-Roman Celtic Excavation

Archaeologists are excavating the remains of a woman of high rank, presumed to have died in the 7th/6th century BCE. The remains found in her grave indicate that she was a woman of status.

The grave is fully preserved and remains unlooted (unlike most burials from the day). You can read about the current excavations via the BBC.
